Résumé

This project concerns coupled flow simulations and interaction of flow with the deformable filter structure. The existing CFD software do not provide adequate modelling and/or efficient simulation.

The main tasks are: i) choice of an adequate mathematical model for flow and deformation in every subregion; ii) construction of correct interface conditions; iii) development of efficient numerical algorithms and software; iv) validation of models and algorithms and v) acquisition of the results. The results aim at attracting 400K-500K industrial funding in the next 4-5 years to come (from the automotive filtration field).

Actions pour iC I@L

In this project the partners plan to concentrate on the coupled flow simulations and on interaction of flow with the deformable filter structure. The main questions which I@L should answer are:

Ø      Study and choice of an adequate mathematical model for flow and deformation,

Ø      construction of correct interface conditions,

Ø      validation of the models and the algorithms through comparison with real experiments,

Ø      acquisition of the results toward their commercialization.

The project will be performed from the I@L side by physicists (LMFA) together with mathematicians (ICJ).
