LMI’s competences lead it to being a member of the Institut Carnot (Ingénierie@Lyon) and a laboratory of excellence ▪ iMUST Institute for Multiscale Science and Technology.
It participates in many national and European projects (▪ ANR projects ▪ FUI projects REVAMED, SAVEUR-VAPEUR, RIBIO ▪ European projects BIODENSOL, NETFISIC, etc.)
Its national and international scientific reputation is based on the recognition of its peers from which it has received several awards of high esteem: Légion d’Honneur (2012 Christelle GOUTAUDIER and Jean-Jacques COUNIOUX), Member of the University Institute of France (2013 Arnaud BRIOUDE), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2014 A. Our research also has applied and industrial objectives. LMI’s research teams maintain tightly knit networks of partnerships with companies of all sizes, from SMBs such as VARIOPTIC, NOVASIC, SILSEF, SILTRONIX, NEOLIX, TEKKA, intermediate sized enterprises such as MECACHROME, and very small companies like SILSEF, BATILUX 21, FIBERCRYST, AGUETTANT, as well as with very large groups such as ST MICROELECTRONICS, THALES, SEB, TEFAL, AIRBUS, SEPTODONT, etc. In certain cases, we assist our industrial partners downstream in the application of our research in the field by providing them with all the scientific support required.
