+ AMPERE – Electrical energy, Bioengineering, Systems

Presentation

logo_ampereThe scientific area covered by the laboratory includes Electrical Engineering, Automation and Environmental Microbiology. Research consists in managing and using energy rationally in systems in relation with their environment. It also includes understanding the physical phenomena involved and modelling them in view to designing systems that are complex by nature. In short, a broad approach to engineering.

Ampere has one of the only teams in France working on the components of wide forbidden energy gaps (SiC, etc.), over a wide spectrum
. It designs, characterizes and models different components to respond to the needs of specific applications (high voltage and high temperature).

  • 66 teacher-researchers
  • 68 PhD students
  • 10 post-doctoral students
  • 18 engineers and technicians
  • 63 international publications /year
  • 89 conferences /year
  • 4 patents /year
